We’reStreaking is a small side project. It does one thing: it keeps a daily streak between two people and refuses to count a day unless both of them checked in.
There is no account, no email address, no password, and no analytics or advertising script on the page. The random identifier lives in your browser’s local storage, so clearing site data signs you out permanently and there is no way to recover a streak after that.
It will not send you push notifications, daily reminders, or re-engagement emails. The only interruption in the product is the nudge, and it only fires when your partner deliberately taps the button. An app that pesters you is easy to build and easy to mute. We would rather the pressure come from the person you made the commitment to.
It is free, and there is nothing to upgrade to. It runs on a free hosting tier and costs close to nothing to keep online, so there is no business model waiting in the wings.
It works in any browser, but it is built to be added to your home screen, where it opens full screen like a normal app and loads instantly. The app offers to do that for you, or you can use your browser’s own “add to home screen” option.
